Honor has scheduled two major events in China over the next few weeks. On October 23, the company will unveil MagicOS 9.0, its interpretation of Android 15. This new operating system will initially be showcased on the Honor Magic7 flagship smartphones, which are set to launch a week later on October 30.
MagicOS 9.0 will introduce a range of AI capabilities, including an AI Agent designed to serve as an always-on personal assistant, positioning itself as a competitor to Apple’s Siri and Google’s Gemini. This service was initially demonstrated at IFA 2024, where we also got a glimpse of it in action on an Honor Magic7 device featuring an oval-shaped punch hole for the front-facing camera.
The upcoming Magic7 smartphones are anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, it is also possible that Honor may opt for the Dimensity 9400 platform for the standard model. With over two weeks remaining before the series’ launch, more details regarding specifications and features are expected to emerge.
As anticipation builds for these releases, Honor aims to capture attention with its innovative offerings, particularly the advancements brought by MagicOS 9.0. This new operating system is expected to enhance user experience significantly, making the Honor Magic7 lineup a noteworthy contender in the smartphone market. Consumers and tech enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting further announcements that will shed light on the capabilities and unique aspects of the Magic7 phones and MagicOS 9.0.
