Huawei has introduced its new lineup of watches, offering an impressive combination of design, long battery life, and advanced features. This year’s models come with the upgraded TruSense health monitoring system, which was announced earlier. The new GT watches also feature a lightweight titanium version. Additionally, there’s a new version of the Watch D, designed for accurate blood pressure tracking.
Huawei Watch GT 5
The Huawei Watch GT 5 comes in two sizes: 41mm and 46mm, just like last year. The 41mm model has a 1.32-inch display, while the 46mm version has a larger 1.43-inch display. The watches are made from stainless steel and are slightly thinner than before. You can choose from different straps, including metal, leather, plastic, and woven.
The 46mm model features a Blue color inspired by the ocean. Both sizes have improved GPS accuracy, with better route, distance, and pace tracking. The TruSense system includes heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep monitoring, with added sleep apnea detection. The watches can also track women’s health and emotions, although emotion tracking is not available in Europe.
Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro
The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro comes in two sizes as well: 42mm and 46mm. The 42mm model is slimmer than last year’s 43mm version. These Pro models are made from titanium, and the smaller one includes ceramics in the design. Both sizes have sapphire glass displays.
They also come with ECG capabilities, which provide a detailed heart reading in 30 seconds. For fitness enthusiasts, the watches have offline maps and advanced navigation for trail running and cycling. The Pro models also feature over 100 workout modes, including free diving up to 40 meters. They are durable, with high water resistance and protection against salt corrosion.
The battery life is impressive: the smaller models last 5 to 7 days, while the larger models last 9 to 14 days. Wireless charging is supported, with a full charge in 60 minutes.
Huawei Watch D2
The Huawei Watch D2 is specialized for blood pressure monitoring. It uses an inflatable wrist strap for more accurate readings and also features ECG and skin temperature sensors. The watch has a 1.82-inch OLED display and includes an air pump and blood pressure sensor, all packed into a compact design.
Huawei Watch Ultimate
Huawei has also released a new green version of the Watch Ultimate. This edition has a dual-color ceramic bezel and includes options for woven, rubber, or titanium straps.
